In particular the one at the Pont Du Diable is exceptional. They are also fun to climb around, rest on, but swimming is a little hard as its quite shallow.
The surrounding area is all part of the Parc Naturel Régional des Monts d'Ardèche, an area particularly famed for its limestone caves and waterfalls.
There is also a butchers van which visits the site. We stayed at the start of a heatwave, but the pitches near the river remaining comfortable and cool throughout the morning and early evening.

Just spent 5 days there 2 adults and 3 teenage (11,13,14) boys. The facilities were simple and well kept. and the hosts are very welcoming and friendly.

Head upriver, however, into the quieter beginnings of the waterway and the scene is altogether different. So, even though we had already stayed longer than planned, in hind sight I might even have stayed longer still. Otherwise it was beautiful, quiet, large leafy pitches, lots of green (esp for ardeche area) well looked after and a delight to be in. Would have liked to do some walks but it was just too hot! We were able to swim in the river , the boys loved exploring upstream and downstream and the whole place was very tranquil and calming.
