I loved this soundtrack since I was younger, so glad they remastered it and put on the bonus tracks. It's very funky with lots of soul characteristics and is well worth the entrance fee. The first James Bond movie -- apart from the "off-brand" spoof Casino Royale -- not to be scored by John Barry (who was working on a stage musical at the time), Live and Let Die's soundtrack still managed to be a pop-music recording event, by virtue of the presence of Paul McCartney & Wings doing the title song. And Paul McCartney singing the Main Title, what more can you ask for. Wow!

The title song aside, this does suffer in having no apparent cohesion - I read somewhere that McCartney cost so much they didn't have enough money for a composer so George Martin stepped in. So sit back,relax and listen to one of the best Bond soundtracks. A must have for a fan of every serious Bond fan. One could argue that this movie's predecessor, "Diamonds are Forever," is where the silliness started to take over the Bond series. Pepper, Tarot Cards, one of the characters calling 007 "Jim," the overlong and gag-filled speedboat chase, the unbelievable demise of "Mr. Big," etc. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others.
